The idea for The History Collective was born in 2019, when a group of historians, teachers came together to discuss the need for a dedicated organization to preserve and share the history. It aims to facilitate a dialogue among historians, with a view to enable access to recent research, provide a platform to raise historical and historiographical issues and uphold a rigorous scientific methodology and interpretive frameworks. The endeavour is to carve out a space for new efforts in the field and also to participate actively in conversations surrounding contemporary social issues.
In our attempt to address various aspects of history and heritage, exploring the ties between people and their pasts, and fostering widespread awareness about the historian’s craft, the Delhi history Congress saw its beginnings.

The History Collective Visual Archive (THCVA) is an online archive of collections of lithographs, photographs, aquatints, and other materials from the late 18th century onward. THCVA aims to bridge the gap between access to visual sources and their use as primary tools for historical inquiry. Often, the challenge of utilizing visual material in research stems from both a lack of understanding of how to approach these sources and limited access to them. It is hoped that this will provide researchers with the resources to explore and incorporate visual sources into their studies
